The Hot Pursuit Band

“Hot Pursuit features Barry Cahill and Delene St. Clair. They are well known in the San Diego music scene as one of the top rated high energy dance/listening cover bands for the last 20 years. What makes Hot Pursuit really special though, is their diversity in music styles and their interaction with their audiences. Together, they have a hip but playful synergy, whether it be Barry out in the audience playing his sax, or Delene soulfully singing a ballad or playing guitar.

As well as being one of the most popular variety bands in San Diego for playing great arrangements of covers from the 1940's through the 90’s and today--(Top 40, Latin, jazz, swing, classic rock, R & B, and country), Hot Pursuit is also recognized for their original music. Having released a single and having had airplay for two songs, their Debut CD “Songs for Humanity” was released in 2005 under their originals band name “Cahill & Delene”. “Songs for Humanity” is getting rave reviews and is featured on iTunes, and internet radio. Several songs on the CD have won in international song contests and in January 2008, their song “Time to Go Home” was aired on CBS on The Young & the Restless.

Delene earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from United States International University School of Performing Arts, and Barry has played in show bands and toured the U.S. and Canada professionally since the age of 19.

The Hot Pursuit Band has performed at almost every major hotel and country club in San Diego County and Southern California, and for over 1900 private events including weddings, corporate events and conventions. They have also performed in Costa Rica and England.
